About Me
I graduated from Texas State University in Mass Communications. I have since then been exploring my passion for helping people as I worked for a church, a children’s emergency shelter, and as a caregiver to elderly people with Alzheimer’s. After seeing my best friend give birth to her daughter I was hooked. I started studying to become a doula and then found out I was pregnant in May 2011. The experience of being pregnant and then having a natural birth was one of the most life changing things I’ve ever been through.
My goal as a doula is to
…help educate families on the birth process so that they are prepared for the big day
…help facilitate the kind of birth experience you want to have
…help guide the breastfeeding process
